Sa Bom Certification applicants may already have, or will one day have Jo Kyo or Kyo Sa Certified Instructors under their guidance and thus Sa Bom Certified Instructors become “teachers of teachers.” A Sa Bom serves as an inspiration and leads by example, inspiring, educating and motivating those in their circle of influence to become assistant teachers (Jo Kyo) or teachers (Kyo Sa) who not only help teach within their studio but who apsire higher and reach out to the public (START) to promote public awareness of, and practice of, Soo Bahk Do^® and recruit new students to become Federation members. Sa Bom also seek to develop other Sa Bom through their mentorship of Jo Kyo and Kyo Sa.

The dedicated individuals seeking to obtain Sa Bom (teacher of teachers) Certification seize the additional opportunity to teach other teachers and they do so in addition to their ongoing responsibilities of teaching students, evaluating student performance and recommending students for rank promotion by submitting student test results to the Technical Advisory Committee via National Member Headquarters.

Those seeking Sa Bom Certification are often running a Moo Duk Kwan^® Certified Teaching Program or a Certified Studio that is endorsed by the Federation. These teaching location are listed as a Moo Duk Kwan^® Certified training centers that provide authentic instruction in the Soo Bahk Do^® martial art system.

Practitioners who successfully complete the Sa Bom Certification examination at an annual Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa under the Technical Advisory Committee are among the most dedicated and long-standing practitioners in the Moo Duk Kwan^®.
